CARROLLTON EARLY CHILDHOOD PTA ANNOUNCES PRESCHOOL EDUCATION DEVELOPMENT GRANT AWARD WINNER
Our mission with the CECPTA is to secure the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education for local preschool aged children by funding a project that supports educators and inspires them to create meaningful, innovative and practical educational experiences. On May 27, 2020 CECPTA Board Members surprised Lucy Samways, Director of The Ridge Preschool, as the award winner for our first annual grant for her “Outdoor Learning Project: Planters and Easels.” Ms Samways received $1,500.00 from the non-profit to build size appropriate garden structures which will teach children how to take care of living organisms and how plants grow from seed to harvest. Students will also develop large and fine motor skills by using traditional art materials and natural items for painting on the outdoor easels.
We’re seeking to support a program that educates preschool aged children between 0-6 years of age within the limits of $1,500 in the Carrollton/Farmers Branch area through our newly created Carrollton Early Childhood PTA Preschool Community Development Grant Program. Our mission is to secure the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education for local preschool aged children by funding a project that supports local educators and inspires them to create meaningful, innovative and practical educational experiences.
