The Carrollton Early Childhood PTA is powered by volunteers who believe that supporting parents strengthens families and builds a thriving community. Every board member plays an important role, and no one serves alone. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or looking for your first opportunity to get involved, there’s a place for you on our team.

Serving on the CECPTA Board is a meaningful way to meet other parents, develop new friendships, and make a lasting impact on local families with young children. No special experience is required—just a willingness to serve, collaborate, and have fun. Together, we create opportunities for families to learn, connect, and thrive while making memories that last long after the year is over.

The President provides leadership for the board and helps guide the organization’s vision throughout the year.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and encourage the board and volunteers
  • Lead board and membership meetings
  • Coordinate with board members to keep projects moving
  • Serve as the primary contact with Texas PTA
  • Help set annual goals and priorities

The Vice President assists the President and helps oversee programs, events, and board operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Help ensure projects stay on schedule
  • Support the President in all areas
  • Help coordinate meetings and events
  • Step in when the President is unavailable
  • Assist board members with planning and problem-solving

The Secretary keeps the organization organized by maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle official correspondence as needed
  • Record meeting minutes
  • Maintain board documents and records
  • Distribute meeting agendas and minutes

The Treasurer manages the financial responsibilities of the PTA.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain financial records
  • Prepare budgets and monthly financial reports
  • Deposit funds and pay approved expenses
  • Help ensure compliance with PTA financial procedures

The Parliamentarian helps ensure the organization follows its bylaws and conducts meetings fairly.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise the board on PTA bylaws
  • Assist with elections
  • Help maintain orderly meetings
  • Recommend bylaw updates when needed

Community Outreach builds relationships with local organizations, businesses, and families to strengthen our impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop community partnerships
  • Coordinate service projects
  • Connect families with local resources
  • Seek opportunities for collaboration
  • Represent CECPTA at community events when appropriate

Publicity helps spread the word about everything happening within CECPTA.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote upcoming events
  • Create newsletters, flyers, and announcements
  • Manage social media and website updates
  • Celebrate member achievements and successes
  • Help keep members informed throughout the year

Fundraising helps provide the resources needed to support programs and events.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan fundraising opportunities
  • Recruit volunteers for fundraisers
  • Coordinate with local sponsors when appropriate
  • Help achieve annual fundraising goals

Member Connections focuses on creating a welcoming and engaging experience for every family.

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome new members
  • Encourage member participation
  • Coordinate hospitality for meetings and events
  • Recognize volunteers and celebrate milestones
  • Foster a sense of community within the organization

The Playgroups Chair coordinates opportunities for young children and caregivers to connect through play.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize regular playgroups
  • Schedule locations and activities
  • Communicate with participating families
  • Recruit hosts and volunteers as needed
  • Create welcoming experiences for new families

Enrollment helps grow and strengthen our membership throughout the year.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote PTA membership
  • Manage member registration and records
  • Welcome prospective members
  • Coordinate membership drives
  • Track membership goals and celebrate milestones
