Every year I look forward to the season of fall. I love the cooler weather, the leaves changing colors, and oh yeah, PUMPKIN EVERYTHING! It also means it’s time for our annual trip to the pumpkin patch for pumpkin picking and photo-ops! But which one to choose? I’ve done the work for you and researched 10 of the best pumpkin patches in the DFW area!
Top 10 Pumpkin Patches in the DFW Area According to a Parent

1. Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch
Where: 5100 Cross Timbers Rd. Flower Mound, TX 75208
When: October 1st through October 31st **Reservation required**
Admission: Free admission, parking is $10/car Mon-Fri and $20 Sat-Sun
Check their website as it gets closer to October 1st!
The Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch offers many activities designed specifically for children such as face painting, hayrides, bounce houses, and mazes built from hay bales. All activities are free. Food/beverages and pumpkins may be purchased. We have brought our daughters here a few times and they always have a blast! They really enjoy exploring all of the hodge podge playhouses that are scattered throughout the grounds. There are plenty of areas for photo-ops and pumpkin picking! They do charge for parking and have required a reservation in the past, so make sure to check their website frequently for openings.

2. Pumpkin Village at the Dallas Arboretum
Where: 8525 Garland Rd. Dallas, TX 75218
When: September 17th through October 31st **Timed Reservations available daily from 9am-2:30pm. Garden closes at 5pm daily.**
Admission: $12 to $20
I absolutely love coming here in the fall! They always have a fun theme to look forward to each year and have many beautiful areas for a family picnic and photo ops. I would highly recommend making a reservation to guarantee entry this year. Check their website frequently for reservation updates.

3. Blase Family Farm
Where: 1232 E. Fork Rd. Rockwall, TX 75087
When: September 24th through October 30th **Reservation Required**
Mon-Fri 9am-6pm, Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 12pm-6pm
Admission: $10 (Kids 23 months and younger are free)
Parking: Free
They are a small pick-your-own blueberry farm in the summer and a pumpkin patch in the fall. They offer a petting zoo, hayrides, hay maze, Spookley the Square Pumpkin Storyboards in a wooded walking trail, and many photo ops! Pumpkins may be purchased for $2-$30, depending on the size. Pie pumpkins are also sold for $4.

4. The Big Orange Pumpkin Farm/Preston Trail Farms
Where: 15102 TX-290 Gunter, TX 75058
When: September 17th through November 23rd
Admission: $12 Mon-Fri & $15 Sat-Sun
Pumpkin Farm will offer visitors a chance to experience blossoming small green pumpkins right on the vine in our pumpkin patch, hayrides, a 6-foot hay maze, and a petting farm for a taste of the country life. Preston Trail Farms is open year-round to provide feed and hardware and has a Café and a gift shop to serve the local community and those who want a “life on the farm” experience. Visitors enjoy the petting farm throughout the year as well.
Admission gives you access to their petting barn, hayrides, roping pen, and hay maze. It also includes a ride on their farm train (Sat/Sun only). Grab a breakfast taco or BBQ sandwich at their Tender Smokehouse, which is open Tues-Sun 8am-3pm.

5. Hall’s Pumpkin Farm & Corn Maze
Where: 3420 Hall Johnson Rd. Grapevine, TX 76051
When: Opening Friday, September 30th at 3pm
They are closed Mondays and Tuesdays with the exception of Monday, October 10th! (Open 11am-8pm) and October 31st (Hours TBA)
Admission: $5 to $15
Note: They are a CASH ONLY business
Come get lost in their enormous corn maze, pick out a pumpkin to take home, and go for a hayride journey across their farm! Located in historic Grapevine. Check the website for details on hours and admission, corn maze, and hayride fees.

6. Pumpkins on the Prairie
Where: 3251 Main St. Frisco, TX 75034
When: October 1st through October 31st
Open Mon-Fri 1pm-7pm & Saturday 10am-7pm & Sunday 10:30am-7pm
Admission: Free!
They are located at the SE Corner of Main & Teel in Frisco on the Grace Avenue UMC property. Stop by for some photo ops, pumpkins, and a friendly hello from the staff. Face painting is available on Sat/Sun and is free, but tips are appreciated. Other activities are still pending, so check the website frequently for updates!

7. 5G Farm Pumpkin Patch
Where: 6601 Co Rd. 166 McKinney, TX 75071
When: September 16th through October 30th
Open Wed/Thurs 11am-5pm, Fri 11am-7:00pm, Sat 9am-5pm, Sun 12pm-5pm
Admission is $5 and covers all pumpkin patch activities!
There is something for the entire family!!! Tons of pumpkins to pick to decorate your home and office, hayride, bounce house, petting zoo, animals to feed, 2 huge mazes, tetherball, straw bale steer roping, BBQ. Come explore the corn maze, let the kids try their skills in our pallet maze and obstacle course, feed the goats and turkeys, and of course, get your pumpkins! (They have vendors on Sat/Sun and BBQ Fri-Sun)

8. Team Family Farms
Where: 1042 W Sherman Dr. Aubrey, TX 76277
When: September 24th through November 6th
Open daily from 10am-7pm
Admission: $10 (ages 2 and up) Mon-Fri, $15 (ages 2 and up) Sat/Sun
Parking: Free!
Barrel Train rides for the kids, feed the farm animals including Texas Longhorns, pose for photos at all of our Awesome Rustic Photo Spots, playgrounds with slides and swings, human hamster wheels, the Half Pint Homestead play area, hay maze, giant tube slide, play some games, practice your Cowboy and Cowgirl yell with Cowboy Tex, pumpkins for purchase, and more…oh, did we mention you can just relax and enjoy the outdoors…YEE HAW Y’ALL!!!

9. Lone Star Family Farm & Corn Maze

Fridays: 4:00PM – 9:30PM
Saturdays: 10:30AM – 9:30PM
Sundays: 1:30PM – 7:30PM

Admission: $17 plus tax and fees. Children 2 years and under are free
